What We Do
UniBazaar is a comprehensive mobile marketplace designed specifically for university students to buy, sell, rent, and connect. The platform facilitates seamless transactions of used textbooks, electronics, furniture, and dorm essentials within the campus community. Beyond traditional marketplace features, it incorporates a unique housing section where students can post and find rental listings for apartments, rooms, and shared spaces near campus.
The app's distinctive "SportMatch" feature helps students find workout buddies, team players, or practice partners by matching users based on their preferred sports, skill levels, and availability. Users can create detailed profiles highlighting their interests, verify their student status with .edu email addresses, and build reputation through a peer rating system.
Key features include secure in-app messaging, saved searches with instant notifications, image-based item search, and location-based filtering to show listings within specific campus areas. The platform emphasizes user safety through identity verification and secure payment integration. To build community trust, UniBazaar implements a robust review system and provides transaction protection policies.
For efficient navigation, the app categorizes listings by departments and common student needs (textbooks, electronics, furniture, etc.). The rental section includes filters for lease duration, furnished/unfurnished options, and utilities included. The Team
The UniBazaar team consists of brilliant Business School student at the University of Bath: Oumayya Alaoui (Founder and CEO). Inspired by her shared struggle of buying and selling items on campus, she developed UniBazaar as a tool to help her and the other students on their daily life
